Akshay Kumar, Taapsee Pannu’s upcoming film ‘Khel Khel Mein’ has been shifted. The film, initially stated for September release, will not hit the big screens on Independence Day, August 15, 2024.
Directed by Mudassar Aziz, other than Akshay and Taapsee, this film boasts an incredible star cast including Vaani Kapoor, Ammy Virk, Aditya Seal, Pragya Jaiswal, and Fardeen Khan in key roles. Taaspee shared a post on Instagram and informed that the film will now release in theatres on August 15.
The film will clash with Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa 2’ release.
Reportedly, the movie is a situational comedy with three couples. Akshay mentioned in an interview that he is returning to the comedy genre with several films in the pipeline. The plot centers around a group of friends gathering for dinner, during which they unexpectedly reveal secrets about each other. This film is an official adaptation of the 2016 Italian comedy thriller 'Perfect Strangers.'
Meanwhile, other than ‘Khel Khel Mein’, Akshay Kumar also has ‘Welcome To The Jungle,' slated for release during the Christmas 2024 weekend. Next, he will be seen in 'Sarfira,' directed by Sudha Kongara and set for a theatrical release on July 12.
