The teaser for the upcoming film Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story of Jallianwala Bagh is here. The makers unveiled the teaser on Monday, featuring Akshay Kumar in the lead role. Directed by Karan Singh Tyagi, the film delves into the aftermath of the tragic Jallianwala Bagh massacre, which took place in April 1919.

The one-minute-thirty-nine-second teaser challenges conventional formats with an unprecedented 30-second opening—no visuals, no logo, and no title. Instead, it relies solely on sound to immerse audiences in the chaos and horror of the massacre.

The clip begins with the harrowing cries of victims and grieving families, echoing phrases like "Please stop, for God's sake," "Shoot them," and "The gates are locked." The teaser also opens with a chilling disclaimer: "These visuals are too horrific to display."

Akshay Kumar portrays Sir C Sankaran Nair, the fearless lawyer who took on the British Empire in the wake of this national tragedy. Adding weight to the teaser, a powerful voiceover declares, "Don’t forget that you’re still a slave to the British Empire."

Based on the book 'The Case That Shook The Empire' by Pushpa Palat and Raghu Palat, Kesari Chapter 2 sets a new benchmark for Indian cinema with its bold narrative approach.

Produced by Dharma Productions, Cape of Good Films, and Leo Media Collective, the film also stars R. Madhavan and Ananya Panday.

Kesari Chapter 2 releases in theatres on April 18, 2025.
