Nag Ashwin, the director of the sci-fi film 'Kalki 2898 AD,' praised Prabhas, calling him the 'biggest box office star of the era.' The film, which also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone, was released in theatres on June 27 and has been performing exceptionally well at the box office.
Nag Ashwin, sharing a BTS picture of his 'Kalki' star on social media, appreciated Prabhas for the success of the film. He wrote, "This man sitting casually there is the reason for all this, unbiasedly the biggest box office star of this era (sic)."
Nag added, "He gave our production the confidence to do what we did, he gave me the freedom to do what I did and so many intelligent inputs helped guide the film to what it is. Everyone's darling, our Bhairava and now the world's K (sic)."

'Kalki 2898 AD' is on the verge of completing a week in theatres and seems to be growing from strength to strength. After six days, this Prabhas-starrer has grossed around Rs 615 crore worldwide, breaking the lifetime record of several movies.
Written and directed by Nag Ashwin, 'Kalki 2898 AD' is a perfect blend of science fiction and Indian mythology. Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan play lead roles, while Anna Ben, Shobana, Pasupathy, Saswatha Chatterjee and several others were seen in supporting roles.
