JoSAA 2024 Seat Matrix: The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) began accepting online applications for the JoSAA counselling 2024 process on Monday. This year, the authority will conduct the JoSAA 2024 seat allocation process in five rounds.
The JoSAA 2024 seat matrix, issued on Tuesday, shows a significant increase in the number of IIT seats. This year, the JoSAA counselling will be conducted for 17,740 seats.
Registration for JoSAA Counselling 2024 is ongoing for candidates who have qualified through JEE Mains and JEE Advanced.

According to the details on the official website, there has been an increase of 355 IIT seats. In 2023, the IIT seat count was 17,385. Specific increases include:
- 20 seats in IIT Bhubaneswar
- 12 seats in IIT Bombay
- 30 seats in IIT Kharagpur
- 50 seats in IIT Jodhpur
- 30 seats in IIT Gandhinagar
- 84 seats in IIT Patna
- 10 seats in IIT Guwahati
- 40 seats in IIT Bhilai
- 10 seats in IIT Tirupati
- 75 seats in IIT Dharwad
