STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. (PIX11) – A female jogger was grabbed from behind and attacked during an attempted rape at a park in New York City last week, police said.
The incident happened at Silver Lake Park on Staten Island around 7:50 p.m. on Thursday, according to the NYPD.
A 53-year-old woman was jogging in Silver Lake Park when a person came up to her from behind, grabbed her, and then pulled her to the ground, police said.
The attacker grabbed the woman’s groin area and then fled, according to police.
The victim was taken to a hospital with minor injuries, authorities said.
The attacker hasn’t been identified. No arrests have been made.
