JK Tyre launches new tyre range for trucks, buses, and EVs: Lower operating costs, 10% longer life

JK Tyre

has debuted a new line of tyres for

commercial vehicles

. This product expansion includes four new variants namely, JETWAY JUM XM, JETWAY JUC XM, JETSTEEL JDC XD, and the JETWAY JUXe designed for electric

buses

. The company says that the new tyres aim to boost performance, operational efficiency, and sustainability.
JK Tyre: New tyre lineup details
JETWAY JUM XM: This next-generation tubeless tyre has bagged a 4-star rating and an RRc value of 4.9 KN/n, making it an energy-efficient option in its class.

The JETWAY JUM XM is poised to reduce fuel consumption, a crucial factor since fuel accounts for approximately 50 percent of

operating costs

in India, while also cutting carbon emissions.

JETWAY JUC XM and JETSTEEL JDC XD: The JETWAY JUC XM, as per the company, has up to 10 percent longer tyre life and is ideal for tippers and trailers, delivering lower operational costs and increased efficiency. On the other hand, the JETSTEEL JDC XD is built for heavy-load transportation.
JETWAY JUXe: These tyres are designed for electric buses and the company says that its low RRc value enables electric buses to cover more distance per charge, enhancing efficiency and reducing operational costs. The JUXe also features a low-noise design, contributing to quieter urban environments. This tyre will be used on

TATA Motors

' EV buses.
