NEW DELHI: India's star batsman Virat Kohli is likely to miss the third and fourth Tests against England due to personal reasons, extending his absence from the initial two matches of the series. The chances of Virat participating in the final Test in Dharamsala, scheduled to take place from March 7, appears slim, though the board is refraining from making predictions about that match, which is still a month away.
In addition to Virat's absence, India faced the challenge of missing star all-rounder
Ravindra Jadeja
and ace batsman
KL Rahul
in the second Test.
Both Rahul and Jadeja were sidelined due to injuries.
However, an Instagram post from Jadeja, on Thursday, himself signalled a positive turn in the all-rounder's recovery, hinting that he is ready to return to action on his home turf in Rajkot.
Jadeja, ahead of the team selection for the third and fourth Tests in Rajkot and Ranchi respectively, took to Instagram and posted his photo with a two-word message.
"Getting better #NCA," Jadeja wrote on his Instagram handle.
The third Test will be held in Rajkot from February 15-19, while the fourth game is in Ranchi from February 23-27.
