There are times when it is not easy for actors to convince their family members about their career choice. We have seen many cases and instances in the past where actors have talked about their parents’ initial reluctance about sending them to Mumbai or agreeing to their decision of joining the entertainment industry. The story of
Ankita Dwivedi
is no different.
Her journey in showbiz began amidst strong opposition from her parents, who were initially apprehensive about the uncertainties and risks involved in this profession.
Talking about it, Ankita says, “Initially, my parents were quite reluctant to agree with my decision of joining the
film industry
. Despite their concerns, I pursued my passion for acting, transitioning from a career in
journalism
to starring in the film
Hamare Baarah
.” Reflecting on her decision, Ankita shares, “It took me a year of relentless efforts to convince my parents, navigating through numerous arguments and emotional discussions. My father even wrote a heartfelt letter encouraging me to pursue further studies abroad in
Mass Communication
.”
Now, having made her mark in the industry with positive feedback for her role in the film, Ankita goes on to add that her family is really supportive now. She shares, “Now, my parents have become my biggest supporters. They had their initial concerns, which is understandable, but now they tell me that they are really happy to see me on the screen and are proud of my accomplishments in the film industry. I am in a happy space and couldn’t have asked for more.”
