hold-outs there, a senior Israeli defence official said on Wednesday. "They've assured us that they won't go into Rafah until we've had a chance to really share our perspectives and our concerns with them," Kirby told ABC.
Earlier on Sunday, Palestinian Prez Mahmoud Abbas said only the US can stop Israel attacking Rafah. "We call on the USA to ask Israel to not carry on the Rafah attack.
