LONG ISLAND, N.Y. (PIX11) -- For 45,000 food insecure children on Long Island who rely on school meals, summer time can be a challenge.
Organizations like Island Harvest Food Bank and its summer food service program provides healthy meals to kids 18 and under.
The program is run in 26 locations to ensure kids across Long Island are fed throughout the summer.
