The IPL season commenced with a bang, as evidenced by the blockbuster viewership numbers. A staggering 16.8 crore viewers tuned in to witness the season's inaugural clash between Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru on March 22.
Moreover, the opening day of the tournament saw an unprecedented watch-time of 1276 crore minutes, setting a new record for the highest-ever watch-time for the first day of any IPL season.
