iPhone
and
iPad
users can now customise the
Google Search app icon
on their home screen with four new designs. Reportedly,
has released three new icons that users can choose from to match their wallpaper or theme.
According to a report by 9to5google, in addition to the original design featuring the multicoloured “G” logo on a white background,
Google Search
now offers three additional icon options for iPhone and iPad users.
These include a dark mode version and two variations with the "G" logo displayed in either dark or light on a contrasting background.
Android users are already familiar with these colour options, as the Google Search bar widget on their devices offers the same selection of logos.
How to Google Search logo on Homescreen of iPhone, iPad
To customise Google Search logo on iPhone or iPad, users can:
- Tap their profile image in Google Search
- Then tap Settings and select General

It is to be noted that the capability to change Google Search icons on iPhones and iPads is being rolled out in version 324.0.
This update builds upon that functionality by allowing users to personalise their home screen with the Google Search app icon. Similar to the square and rectangular Search widgets launched in 2021, users can now choose customisable backgrounds, including dynamic options like Earth and Abstract art that update daily.
More than just Search, the Google app on iOS is a feature-rich hub. It offers conveniences like Read Aloud for hands-free content consumption and access to Google Password Manager, complete with system-wide autofill for effortless logins.
