LUCKNOW: The
Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport
(CCSIA) has now entirely shifted all international and domestic
flight operations
to the newly integrated
terminal 3
(T3) from Wednesday.
The first international flight of
Flynas
arrived at T3 at 6:36am and took off at 7:50am.
At present, Indigo Airlines, Air India Express, Saudia Airlines, Oman Air, Thai AirAsia, Flynas, Salam Air and FlyDubai operate their
international flights
from CCSIA.
After the inauguration of T3 on March 10, CCSIA commenced domestic operations from the terminal with Akasa Air on March 31, and shifted all the domestic operations to T3 on April 21.
CCSIA spokesperson said, "We are pleased to commence international flight operations from T3. We would like to thank all the stakeholders including DGCA, BCAS, AAI, CISF, customs, Bureau of Immigration, airline partners, GHA's and Lucknow airport team members for their support in operationalising the international flights from T3."
The capacity of T3 phase 1, built at a cost of Rs 2,400 crore, is 80 lakh passengers per year. The capacity of T3 will go up to 1.3 crore passengers per annum at the end of phase 2.
