NEW DELHI: As Pakistan slumped to an humiliating 360-run defeat to Australia in the Test series opener in Perth on Sunday, former captain Ramiz Raja lashed out at the team for not showing intent and technique with the bat in both innings.
Pakistan have never won a Test series in Australia and haven't been able to win a Test Down Under since 1995.
The Sunday's loss was another forgettable experience as Raja pointed out that

Shan Masood

and co.

were blown away by the quality Aussie bowling attack.

The match also saw veteran offie Nathan Lyon enter the exclusive '500 club; in Tests, becoming only the 8th bowler to do so in the history of the format.
"Great start to the summer, everything fell into place. We've played a lot of cricket, so the build-up was very chilled and relaxed. No hiccups this week, it's all gone to plan," said Australia captain Pat Cummins after the win.
"We were not as disciplined as we wanted to be," Pakistan captain Shan Masood said.

The second Test begins in Melbourne on Dec. 26 before concluding in Sydney, where Pakistan last won a Test Down Under in 1995, on Jan. 3.
