NEW DELHI: The Indian women's cricket team landed in Colombo,
Sri Lanka
on Tuesday, ready to compete in the
Asia Cup T20
tournament. The event is set to commence on July 19 in Dambulla.
Sri Lanka Cricket
(SLC) shared the arrival photos of India and Bangladesh squad on social media.
India's first match will be against their long-time rivals, Pakistan, on the tournament's opening day.
The same day will also feature a game between UAE and Nepal.
The host nation, Sri Lanka, is in Group B along with Malaysia, Thailand, and Bangladesh.
This Asia Cup T20 tournament will act as a preparation for the upcoming World Cup, which is scheduled to take place in Bangladesh in October.
