BUSHWICK, Brooklyn (PIX11) -- Law enforcement officials found illegal fireworks being sold inside a Brooklyn smoke shop during a search for illegal cannabis on Wednesday, a source told PIX11 News.

According to sources, the fireworks were discovered during a raid at 855 Knickerbocker Ave. as part of Operation Padlock to Protect.

Over 500 illegal cannabis shops in New York City have been locked thanks to Operation Padlock, with $41 million in civil penalties have been issued, according to sources.
