If Pakistan didn't respond to Iran's attack, it would've hit their image, says expert

On today's episode of the prime time show 5ive Live, Shiv Aroor delved into the escalating tensions between Iran and Pakistan with expert insights from Sushant Sareen.

The latest developments in the Iran-Pakistan issue reveal a complex scenario where Pakistan conducted "highly coordinated and specifically targeted precision military strikes" against separatist militant hideouts within Iran's southeastern Sistan and Baluchistan province. This operation, named "Marg Bar Sarmachar," aimed at groups such as the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) and the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF), which seek greater regional autonomy.

Iran, in turn, had previously launched missile and drone strikes against Sunni militant group Jaish al-Adl in Pakistan's southwest Balochistan province, leading to casualties including children and sparking a diplomatic row between the two nations. Both countries have seen a rise in tensions, with Pakistan recalling its ambassador and Iran demanding an immediate explanation for the cross-border attacks.
