MUMBAI: The International Cricket Council will hold an emergent meeting of its board on Tuesday to take a final call and resolve the deadlock around the 2025 Champions Trophy in February-March next year in Pakistan. The meeting, during which a final verdict on the fate of the tournament is likely to be given, will be held virtually.
Amongst the attending members will naturally be the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), which has expressed its inability to send Team India to Pakistan citing lack of government permission, and the
Pakistan Cricket Board
, which has remained firm that it will host the entire tournament in Pakistan itself, thus ruling out the hybrid model, which would perhaps see India playing its matches in Dubai.
