, a Louisiana grandma suffering from severe

amnesia

, wasn't able to recall the last 30 years of her life after she visited a hospital because of a headache in 2018. She thought that she was a teenager in the 1980s when she woke up, reports New York Post.
Denicola, aged 56 had no recollection of her husband and children.
Denicola, now 60 said, “I’ve lost a lot of Christmases, so it’s a big deal. It’s unbelievable to me as it probably is to other people. Never in my wildest dreams did I get up and go to bible study and think I’m going to wake up in the hospital and I’m going to be 60 years old.”
Upon regaining consciousness,a Nurse asked Denicola whether she remembers what year it is or who is the President of the US? Denicola replied 1980 and she believed Ronald Reagan was the President of the US.

Despite extensive tests and scans, doctors have been unable to find out the cause behind Denicola's amnesia.
Nearly five years after experiencing the migraine that changed her life, Demicola is yet to regain her memories. Medical professionals express concerns that she may never recover her memory.
