HYDERABAD: This year, the
Regional Passport Office
in
Telangana
stood fifth in position among other RPOs in India, by issuing over 7.85 lakh
passports
.
On Friday, the Regional Passport Officer, J Snehaja announced the news to the media in Hyderabad and added that in 2022, a total of 6.43 lakh passports were issued in Telangana.
The RPO, which has five PSKs and 14 POPSKs and on an average, have processed around 4,000 applications every day.
Replying to TOI query, Snehaja hinted that 2024 might see the e-Chip pasports being introduced in India.
