NEW YORK (PIX11) – The Jonas Brothers and their fans took over a popular Manhattan pizzeria Saturday afternoon, according to the NYPD.
Kevin, Joe, and Nick Jonas transformed Joe’s Pizza at 150 East 14th Street into Jonas Pizza.
“Joe’s Pizza changed their name for the day to Jonas Pizza,” said one employee in a phone call with PIX11 News. “The Jonas Brothers arrived at 11 a.m. and are celebrating their 20th anniversary and will be holding a Jonascon at Mall of America tomorrow.”
Hundreds of excited fans, with their phones out, surrounded the East Village pizza shop as the Jonas Brothers played some of their hits on speakers, according to a video post on their Instagram.
A handful of NYPD officers can be seen monitoring the crowd in a video obtained by PIX11 News.
The NYPD says the officers were there for support as the three famous brothers also gave out merch to their fans. There was ‘nothing negative,’ authorities said.
