. Here's how you can do it depending on your device:
On your computer:
1.
Open Gmail in your web browser.
2. Go to your inbox or view the list of emails in a label or search results.
3. Find the email you want to star.
4. Click the empty star icon next to the sender's name or subject line. The star will turn yellow, indicating the email is now starred.
On your Android device:
1. Open the Gmail app on your Android phone or tablet.
2. Find the email you want to star.
3. Tap the empty star icon next to the sender's name or subject line. The star will turn yellow, indicating the email is now starred.
On your iPhone or iPad:
1. Open the Gmail app on your iPhone or iPad.
2. Find the email you want to star.
3. Swipe the email from right to left. A star icon will appear. Tap the star icon to star the email.
Things to keep in mind:
* You can also star an email while you're reading it. Click the "More" menu (three dots) in the open email and select "Add star."
