has released highlights of its annual data report wherein it talked about the key trends from how India used Uber this year. The report provides insights on the cities with the highest number of

in 2023, longest Intercity trips by kilometres travelled, popular time of the day, popular day of the week, and the city with the most late-night trips, among other trends.

The year 2023 also saw Indians breaking travel records even as Uber remained the favourite mobility companion. According to the report, Uber trips during the year covered a record 6.8 billion kilometres, which is enough to traverse the entire 6.37-million-kilometre road network in India more than a thousand times over, or nearly thrice every day.
Uber Auto and Uber Go most popular: Uber Auto and Uber Go were the most popular services in the country, with Uber Auto being the favourite among the two.
Cities with the highest number of Uber trips: The cities with the highest number of Uber trips in 2023 are Delhi-NCR, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Pune and Kolkata.

Mumbai beat Delhi-NCR in terms of the most late-night trips booked and Kolkata residents booked Uber the most on the weekends. Residents of Delhi NCR used Uber the most for their work commute, logging the highest number of office-hour trips booked.
Uber booking trends
Most Uber trips were booked between 6 pm and 7 pm and the most popular day of the week for booking an Uber was Saturday.
December has seen the highest number of rides being booked in a single month, with Durga Puja and Christmas weekend being the most popular days in terms of number of trips booked.

Lonavala was the most frequented tourist destination in 2023 and Indians travelled 64 million kilometres in EVs through the year.
The top 5 cities in India in terms of the fastest average speeds clocked on the roads are Chandigarh, Ahmedabad, Delhi-NCR, Lucknow and Mysore.

  • Lucknow – Kanpur
  • Mumbai – Lonavala
  • Mumbai – Nashik

  • Jaipur- Delhi Airport- Fatehpur Sikri – Chomu (Rajasthan) – Bangaon (Haryana)
  • Manesar – Dungargarh (Rajasthan) – Hisar (Haryana) – Manesar
  • Manesar – Kasol (Himachal Pradesh ) – Sonipat
  • Delhi – Kanpur – Delhi
  • Jaipur- Anuppur (Madhya Pradesh)
