Homeless veteran in wheelchair won't give up dog for spot in shelter

RONKONKOMA, N.Y. (PIX11) -- It is an issue officials say is happening more often, veterans facing a difficult choice of being homeless or giving up their service pets to live in a shelter.  

One local veteran in a wheelchair was forced out of his apartment and decided that braving the elements with his dog would be better than having to say goodbye.
