Homeless man accused of groping 2 women in Manhattan

MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) --- A homeless man is accused of groping two women within minutes on Manhattan streets last week, police said Thursday.

Tyheem Menardy, 26, allegedly touched a 34-year-old woman while she was walking near Ninth Avenue and West 16th Street just before 10 a.m. on March 26, according to the NYPD.

A few minutes later, the suspect allegedly grabbed a 52-year-old woman's buttocks near West 18th Street and Tenth Avenue, police said.

The women were not injured, police said.

Menardy was arrested Wednesday and charged with forcible touching and sexual abuse, authorities said. His arraignment was pending on Thursday, according to court records.

Menardy has another open case for robbery. He allegedly took a 52-year-old woman's e-bike near 42nd Street and Third Avenue at around 4:15 p.m. on March 29, according to the NYPD. The woman suffered minor injuries during the incident but was not attacked, police said.

Menardy was charged with robbery and petit larceny, police said. He was arraigned on Saturday and released without bail, according to court records.
