Here are 10 NYC neighborhoods with increasing rental units

NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) -- There are more available rental units across New York City this year, according to Streeteasy.

Despite the rising inventory, asking rent in the city rose to $3,700 in April — the highest since September 2023, Streeteasy shared. However, the rental website does predict that 2024's rental season will be calmer than last year's.

Rent in Brooklyn and Queens soared to historic highs, with the median asking rent in Brooklyn at $3,450 in April and nearly $3,000 in Queens due to limited supply. Half the neighborhoods seeing the largest increases in the number of rentals on the market are in Brooklyn and Queens, Streeteasy revealed.
