HC transfers stock scam probe to CBI

MUMBAI:

Bombay high court

has transferred the

investigation

in a multi-crore stock-broking scam to the

CBI

after the agency agreed to take over two cases registered in the city and Sindhudurg, besides any other cases registered in the state.
Justice Revati Mohite-Dere and Justice Manjusha Deshpande directed the DN Nagar police station in the city and the Kudal police station in Sindhudurg district on Friday to hand over the investigation papers to the DIG, Banking and Securities Fraud Board (BSFB), CBI, within two weeks.

Filed by 18 investors, the petition sought transfer of the investigation to the CBI. It said multiple FIRs and complaints were filed by investors in different states against the promoters, directors and employees of Highbrow Market Research Investment Advisor.
