His 2014 movie Hasee Toh Phasee starred Sidharth Malhotra and
Parineeti Chopra
was directed by
Vinil Mathew
. The movie recently completed 10 years of its release. Karan in his chat with Times Now shared that the film is one of most favorite films produced under his banner, he mentioned, “Although I haven’t directed it, it is one of my favorite Dharma films. It is deeply emotional.”
He also added that he loved Parineeti’s character a lot; he said , “I love Meeta. She is so unpredictable and emotional and all the more relatable for it."
Shankar-Ehsaan- Loy were roped in for the music of the film, but they opted out and thus the responsibility fell on Vishal-Shekhar.The film had a fantastic score in songs like Zehnaseeb, Ishq Bulaava and Drama Queen. The movie performed fairly well at the box office - made on a modest budget, it minted more than Rs 37 crores.
