NEW DELHI: Indian skipper Harmanpreet Kaur ascended three spots to 13th in the latest ICC Women's T20I Player Rankings unveiled on Tuesday after her stellar performance of 105 runs in a series sweep against Bangladesh.
The Indian team's dominant display bodes well ahead of the upcoming ICC Women's T20 World Cup. Richa Ghosh climbed two places to 23rd after her crucial unbeaten 28 in the series' final match.
Additionally, Radha Yadav and Titas Sadhu made significant strides in the bowling rankings, with Yadav moving up seven spots to 23rd and Sadhu climbing 18 places to 60th.
Meanwhile, England's players saw an uptick in their rankings after their clash with Pakistan.
Skipper Heather Knight advanced four spots to 18th in the T20I batters' rankings following her innings of 49 in Birmingham.
Amy Jones, with her impactful performance of 37 runs and four catches, earned the Player of the Match title and rose three spots to 26th in the batting rankings. Sarah Glenn's impressive four-wicket haul against Pakistan propelled her two spots to fourth, just behind teammate Sophie Ecclestone, in the T20I bowling rankings.
Lauren Bell also saw a significant rise, jumping four places to seventh, after her 3-22 spell against Pakistan. Sri Lankan players witnessed notable improvements in the rankings following their success in the T20 World Cup Qualifier.
Chamari Athapaththu's stellar century in the final against Scotland propelled her two spots to seventh in the T20I batters' rankings and one spot to fifth in the all-rounders' rankings. Inoshi Fernando and Udeshika Prabodhani also made substantial gains in the bowling rankings, moving up five spots each to 19th and 30th, respectively.
