PUNE: An
IAS trainee
officer on Monday night gave a statement to the
police
alleging harassment by a
senior official
at the Pune district collectorate. A senior officer from the Pune police commissioner's office said that the IAS trainee has recorded her statement before the women police personnel and the same has been addressed to the Pune police. The officer said on Tuesday, "I am not yet aware of the contents of the statements, which are confidential in nature owing to the allegations made against a senior official from the collectorate.
We will examine the statement before taking a call on further action." An officer from the Pune district collector office told TOI, "If the complaint is registered, we will take the appropriate legal steps."
