and Trivikram on the same day. Despite Mahesh Babu's film leading initially, 'Hanu Man' gained momentum daily, propelled by positive word of mouth. The film is cashing on at the box office even in its third week, not only in Telugu, but also in
Hindi
.
South films doing well in Hindi is not a new phenomenon, but the films that usually work are the big ticket spectacles backed by huge stars like Prabhas or Yash or
Allu Arjun
. However, a rather small budget film with lesser known names doing well in Hindi in recent times is a first.
The film, in its first week in Hindi, minted about Rs 24.5 crore and in the second week, it added another Rs 16 crore. Over the last 2 days it added another couple of crores, taking the grand total of the film in Hindi beyond Rs 42 crore. Going by current collection pace, the film should end up with Rs 45 crore collection by the end of the week. The film in North America ( USA and Canada ), has also crossed the US $ 5 million mark, making it one of the most successful Telugu films there.
The film is currently facing competition from Hrithik Roshan and Siddharth Anand’s Fighter, which released just four days ago and has already entered the Rs 100 crore club.
