Actress Halle Berry has exited the upcoming legal series 'All’s Fair', days after joining the cast of Ryan Murphy and Kim Kardashian’s latest drama. According to a Variety report, Berry will no longer star in the show or serve as its executive producer.
The reasons for her quick exit are unclear, but sources suggest she had a scheduling conflict. The update came just a week after it was reported that Berry had joined All’s Fair with Glenn Close. It is yet to be seen who will replace Berry in the series or the character she was chosen for.
Halle Berry, an Academy Award-winning actress, won an Oscar for her performance in 'Monster’s Ball' and became the first and only African American to receive the Best Actress award. She has also won an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress for her portrayal of Dorothy Dandridge in HBO’s 'Introducing Dorothy Dandridge'.
'All’s Fair', announced in December 2023, is the first series under Murphy after his deal at Disney. It will feature Kim Kardashian as a powerful divorce lawyer in Los Angeles who runs a successful all-female law firm.
Created by Job Robin Baitz and Joe Baken, the show is inspired by Kardashian’s actual lawyer, who represented her in divorce proceedings with Kanye West and Kris Humphries, according to a Daily Mail report.
Murphy serves as the writer, director, and executive producer of All’s Fair. The show, which is one of five TV shows to receive a share of $58 million in California tax credits, will begin production later this year. It will be filmed for 97 days in California and 10 more days outside LA. The release date is yet to be confirmed.
