EDGEMERE, Queens (PIX11) --- Two teenagers were inadvertently shot when gunfire erupted behind a Queens school Wednesday, authorities said.
The boy and girl, both 15, were struck on a basketball court in the back of a school at 441 Beach 51st St. in Edgemere at around 4:15 p.m., according to the NYPD. The girl was shot in her leg and arm, and a boy was shot in the leg, police said.
The victims, who were not the intended targets, were taken to the hospital for treatment.
Police are searching for two gunmen, one fled on a CitiBike, and the other on a metal kick scooter, police said. There have been no arrests.
