Grammy Awards
,
Taylor Swift
emerged as a standout figure, not only for her record-breaking
13th Grammy win
but also for the unexpected revelation she shared with fans and the global audience - her new album '
The Tortured Poet’s Department
'.
The singer, won the Grammy for
Best Pop Vocal Album
for her work on 'Midnights'.
Taking to the stage to accept her award, the singer said, "13 is my lucky number, I don't think I've told you that."
Dedicating her win to Swifties, she said, "I want to say thank you to the fans by telling you a secret that i have been keeping from you for the last 2 years. My brand new album comes out April 19. It is called The Tortured Poet’s Department."
Shortly after the big announcement, Taylor took to her handle to post the cover art of the new album and a verse that read:
And so I enter into evidence
My tarnished coat of arms
My muses, acquired like bruises
My talismans and charms
The tick, tick, tick, of love bombs
My veins of pitch black ink.
She signs off the verse saying, "All's fair in love and poetry."
Taylor is set to write history at the Grammy Awards tonight if her album 'Midnights' wins Album Of The Year. The win would make her the only artist in history to win the award four times. Currently, Swift has three wins and is tied with Frank Sinatra, Stevie Wonder and Paul Simon for the record.
