JAIPUR: A day after the state government launched a special helpline number (9530429258) for students and the public to report information about irregularities and provide tips related to paper leaks in recruitment examinations, calls and messages from across Rajasthan flooded in, primarily raising concerns about previous examinations.
A senior official informed TOI that calls were particularly focused on complaints about the Executive Officer (EO) recruitment examinations held earlier this year in May.

"Several callers expressed dissatisfaction with the

EO

examinations, providing us with complaints and information that are currently being examined and verified," stated an official.
The new government recently formed a Special Investigation Team (

SIT

) to curb paper leaks and prevent such incidents in the future.
ADGP VK Singh

, the SIT chief, confirmed that the helpline received numerous calls, including suggestions on the matter.

Chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma constituted the SIT under the leadership of Singh, specifically targeting the issue of paper leaks that had led to protests in the past, such as the REET paper leak of 2021 and the senior teacher recruitment paper leak of 2022. The SIT will now investigate these cases, taking over from the Special Operations Group (SOG).
According to officials, nearly 29 cases related to various irregularities in the examination process, including impersonation, tampering, and paper leaks, will be probed by the SIT. On Thursday, the SIT arrested five individuals who had appeared as dummy candidates in the Senior Teacher Recruitment Examination conducted by RPSC in 2022. The SIT is considering a series of actions to prevent paper leak cases, including strengthening increased vigilance and establishing coordination with recruitment agencies such as the Rajasthan Subordinate and Ministerial Services Selection Board (RSMSSB) and the Rajasthan Public Service Commissioner (RPSC).
