's Aman Garden area on Friday night, police said.
The assistant commissioner of police (ACP) Loni Suryabali Maurya said the man, Shahrukh, walked to the Loni police station and submitted a complaint after murdering his 65-year-old mother Dilshad Begam.

"On Saturday, around 5am, Shahrukh reached the police station and said his mother had been killed. A police team found the woman in a pool of blood with several stab wounds at their residents in Ashok Vihar colony. The body was sent for autopsy," the assistant commissioner of police said.
Shahrukh told the interrogators that he had a scuffle with Begum as she refused to give him money to buy drugs. "When she went to sleep in her room, he stabbed her with a dag knife several times. He then tried to clean

up

the blood-soaked floor and reached the police station to file a complaint."

As per cops, Shahrukh is an addict and often has arguments with his mother. "Shahrukh worked as a mechanic around 2-3 months back but was currently unemployed. He suspected his mother wanted to sell off their house," ACP Maurya said.
A case has been registered on charges of murder was registered and Shahrukh was arrested, Loni station house officer Anil Rajpoot said.
