NEW YORK (PIX11) – A celebrity chef is teaming up with NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in an effort to increase blood donations.

Dominique Ansel has created the "3 Lives" chocolate bar, which will be handed out for free to people who donate blood between this Saturday and March 29.

The dark chocolate bar has a heart-shaped strawberry ganache center. The sweet treat's name comes from the fact that one blood donation can save three lives, organizers said.
