Food delivery person assaulted and robbed on the job: NYPD

SUNSET PARK, Brooklyn (PIX11) -- A food delivery person was robbed just steps from his drop off spot in Sunset Park, authorities say.

Police recently released photos of the five people wanted in connection with the robbery that occurred at 673 62nd Street on July 19 just after 5 p.m.

The five individuals surrounded the delivery person near his drop off point, began punching him in the head, and stole the food he was meant to deliver, according to investigators. Police say the group also tried to steal the man’s wallet but were unsuccessful. 

The group was last seen running towards the train station near 62nd Street and 7th Avenue.
