BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) – A fleeing driver struck two pedestrians in Coney Island overnight after a fight broke out at a club, according to preliminary information from the NYPD.

The victims were rushed to an area hospital as the driver abandoned their car and ran from the scene of the crash near West 21st Street early Monday morning, police said.

The two victims were likely to survive.

The crash happened just after a fight inside the club, during which a man was hit with a hookah and a woman pushed to the ground, police said.

It was not immediately clear whether the fight and crash involved the same person, and police were still searching for the driver Monday.
