Firefighter injured in fire at Queens home: FDNY

FOREST HILLS, Queens (PIX11) – A firefighter was injured early Wednesday morning after a fire broke out at a home in Queens, according to the FDNY.

The fire broke out on Walnut Street in Forest Hills around 2:30 a.m. Around 106 firefighters and EMS personnel responded to the scene, fire officials said.

A firefighter was taken to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center with minor injuries, according to the FDNY.

The fire was put under control around 4:15 a.m. The cause is under investigation, fire officials said.
