Fire breaks out at Brooklyn affordable housing complex: FDNY

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) -- Firefighters were battling a fire at an affordable housing building in Brooklyn Thursday, according to the FDNY.

FDNY members received a call about a fire at 2954 Brighton 3rd St. at 4:44 p.m. FDNY officials said a fire was reported on the building's roof.

The flames sent black smoke into the sky over Brooklyn, a video posted to Citizen shows.

Twelve fire units and 60 FDNY members responded to the seven-story building. Officials said no injuries have been reported at this time.
