Fight to save Brooklyn day care from closing

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) – Families in Brooklyn and Queens are not giving up their fight to save four neighborhood day care centers slated to shut down in June.

The closures were announced despite a recent proposal by Gov. Kathy Hochul to invest $110 million to upgrade and build new day cares.

Teresa Bosque, the program director of Nuestros Niños, and Estephanie Garcia, whose son is enrolled in the day care, talk about the looming threat of a shutdown on PIX11 Morning News.
