Fiery crash kills driver on Long Island: Suffolk County Police

LONG ISLAND, N.Y. (PIX11) – A driver died after a fiery single-vehicle crash in Smithtown early Sunday morning, according to the Suffolk County Police Department. 

The driver lost control of their vehicle around 3:45 a.m. on East Main Street near Hemlock Lane, police said. The car overturned and caught fire, according to police.

The driver was pronounced dead on the scene, officials said.
