FDNY firefighter injured battling Brooklyn fire, officials say

WILLIAMSBURG, Brooklyn (PIX11) -- An FDNY firefighter was injured while battling a fire in Brooklyn on Thursday afternoon, according to the FDNY.

The fire was reported at 310 Powers St. at 2:12 p.m., according to the FDNY. The three-story complex was engulfed in flames, officials said.

Twelve fire units, consisting of 60 FDNY members, battled the blaze. Authorities said the fire was under control an hour later.

The condition of the firefighter was not immediately available. The firefighter is being treated at a Brooklyn hospital.
