Family-friendly Winter Jam in Central Park canceled

NEW YORK (PIX11) – Winter Jam, the annual family-friendly festival in Central Park, has been canceled.

NYC Parks partners with Gore Mountain to blow snow in the park, creating a winter wonderland. The free event normally features sledding, ice bowling, curling and snow dodgeball.

Vendors also served hot cocoa and other treats at past events.

NYC Parks hasn't confirmed why the event was canceled.
