NEW DELHI: Amid the
Sanju Samson
dismissal controversy that marred the Delhi Capitals vs Rajasthan Royals game on Tuesday, the hosts'
co-owner Parth Jindal
unexpectedly too came under spotlight for his animated reaction.
When the broadcasters panned their camera on Jindal during the entire process of Samson dismissal, the DC co-owner was seen pointing fingers and shouting 'out, out' in an unpleasant manner.
The video of an agitated Jindal, instantly spread like a wildfire on social media with fans criticized his behaviour.
With Samson threatening to take the game away from DC singlehandedly in the tall chase, his controversial dismissal decisively turned the match in the hosts' favour.
After the game, Jindal on Wednesday, came up with an explanation for his animated reaction, saying that the Royals' skipper got them quite worried.
Jindal also met with Samson and RR co-owner Manoj Badale after the game.
"Was lovely interacting with Manoj and Sanju - was incredible to witness his power hitting at the Kotla - he got us all extremely worried and hence the animated reaction when he was out! Had the pleasure of congratulating him as well. Great win by our boys!," said Jindal on X.
Delhi Capitals went on to win the thriller by 20 runs, keeping their playoffs hopes alive.
On the other hand, the defeat for Royals was only their third this season. They currently occupy the second spot on the points table behind toppers Kolkata Knight Riders.
