Mallika Singh
, who enthralled the audience as Radha in mythological saga 'RadhaKrishn' is all set to return to television with Pracchand Ashok. The actress in an exclusive conversation with ETimes TV talked about her role, look in the show and was all praise for co-star Adnan Khan. The actress also opened up about the
break
after
RadhaKrishn
and how it helped her to get clarity about her future decisions.
On her look in Pracchand Ashok
I really loved my look in Pracchand Ashok. It is not similar to my previous show and it is quite different. The jewellery is very similar to how the princess would wear in those days. They made proper sketches of all the designs and then got it made exactly the same.
On the storyline of the show
The story is about Ashok and Karuvaki who have different motives in life. They are very opposite of each other but destiny brings them together, how they meet each other, what were their journeys in the past and how it will be in future. That is the show all about.
Preparations for the role
I am working on my diction. I have done a show in the past where I spoke shudh Hindi but because there was a gap I have lost touch. Also my drawback is I don’t talk much and I can’t express what I feel in words. I had stopped reading so now I am getting back to it as it will help me to speak fluent Hindi. Also I am working on my body language, how to carry myself and the look.
Break after RadhaKrishn
The gap between RadhaKrishn and Pracchand Ashok is not that huge. I feel the break was important because I worked on the show for a long duration. It had a successful run and it was very important to take some time out for myself so that I could figure out what I want from my life and how I should move ahead in my career. The break helped me to
introspect
, gain clarity about my
personal goals
, and improve my skills. I am very happy that I bagged such a good show after the break.
Pracchand Ashok’s Adnan Khan & Mallika Singh: We have worked hard on our language & language skills
Working with Adnan
I had heard great reviews about Adnan and his work from my friends and colleagues from the industry. I was also very excited to meet him and I got to know him better during our promo shoot. He is very hardworking and fits the bill perfectly to play Ashok.
