Karan Singh Grover, who was recently seen in Siddharth Anand-directed 'Fighter', is currently enjoying the success of the film. Karan has been hailed for his performance in the film. Now, in an exclusive interview with IndiaToday.in, Karan Singh Grover opens up about the challenges he faced when he learnt about his daughter Devi's diagnosis during the shoot of the film.
KARAN SINGH GROVER ON DAUGHTER DEVI’S DIAGNOSIS
Karan Singh Grover and Bipasha Basu welcomed their daughter, Devi, in 2022. Last year, the couple revealed that Devi was born with two holes in her heart and had to go through open-heart surgery.
Karan told IndiaToday.in, how difficult it was to leave his daughter at home and go to work. He said, "(At the) beginning of every schedule, I felt like not going to work because it was very serious and to be away was very difficult. Also, I did not handle it very well. I was like water on the floor. I think it's because of Bipasha that I got the strength to kind of go through that and still be here. I really felt like, for me, death would be easier than going through that.”
He continued, “At one point, I remember when we were at the hospital, and we were supposed to give Devi to the doctors, I just couldn't. I was like, ‘no’. it felt like I didn't have any hands or legs or feet or face. My wife is a lioness, she's a super strong person, but then as soon as she became a mother, she was a freaking God. She is something else. Also, thanks to all the surgeons."
KARAN SINGH GROVER CALLS DEVI THE ‘LITTLE MONKEY’
Calling his daughter ‘the little monkey in the family’, Karan said, "From the time she was born to now, nothing changed. She's so full of joy and spreading love, and loving everything and everyone equally all the time. We just took her for her first art class and there are children there, and she is being her normal self - going around stroking everyone's face. It's called 'pyari-pyari'. She does that to every kid and wants to hug everyone. The most exciting and important thing for her art class was that she liked to call all the kids there ba-be in a baby voice. Every child is not like that - they want to be with their own friends. This little one is my animal. She is our little monkey
