Exclusive - Deepika Singh suffers an injury while shooting for Mangal Lakshmi as a big plywood board falls on her

Things don't seem to be going well for TV actress

. After injuring her eye a few days ago, she has now suffered an

injury

to her upper back. ETimes TV has exclusively learnt that the

actress

suffered an injury while shooting on the sets today (June 19).
Sources present on the sets informed us that Deepika was shooting a

dream sequence

for her daily soap Mangal Lakshmi in

Filmcity

.

In the sequence she was shown getting felicitated. While she was shooting the sequence a huge and heavy

plywood board

which was placed behind her fell on the actress. Due to heavy wind the heavy plywood board fell on her back leaving the actress injured. Deepika screamed out of pain and Naman rushed to her help immediately. Despite the pain, she tried to continue filming the crucial sequence but had to stop as the swelling in her back worsened. A kids' dance show was being filmed near the Mangal Lakshmi set, so they had to request an ice pack from there. After using the ice pack, Deepika managed to shoot as many scenes as she could. However, when the pain became unbearable, she left the set and went home.
Deepika, who is currently winning audiences hearts with her role of a housewife and sister in the TV show "Mangal Lakshmi," recently sustained a blood clot in her eye during filming. The actress continued to shoot despite her injury because they were filming a significant wedding sequence.
The actress had spoken to ETimes TV exclusively back then, she explained, "I couldn’t take a break because we were shooting a major track of Lakshmi’s wedding, and as a main character, I was needed in every scene. It wasn't possible to exclude me. I couldn't have asked for leave when I was part of almost all the scenes. It was really sweet of the makers to ensure I was given late call times and breaks between scenes."
