"Earlier Work Was Appetiser, Main Course Begins Now": PM Modi In Rajya Sabha

2 days ago 6

The last 10 years of BJP rule at the Centre was "appetiser" and the "main course" has started only now, Prime Minister Narendra Modi told Rajya Sabha today as he laid down his government's plans for the next five years.

The Prime Minister was replying to the Motion of Thanks to the President's Address in the Upper House of Parliament, a day after he tore into the Congress during his address in the Lok Sabha.

The Prime Minister started his address by referring to the recently held Lok Sabha election and said it was after six decades that a party has returned to power for the third time in a row.

"Some people have turned their face away from reality, some did not understand, and those who did have tried to conceal it from the people," he said, taking a jab at the Opposition.
